David Hill has been named Executive Director for the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Energy Program. This role is responsible for leading all facets of BPC’s Energy initiatives and works closely with the organization’s leadership team to address a broad range of federal and state policy issues. Our successful placement, David Hill, has a career spanning more than 25 years that reflects his deep expertise in energy law and policy, a strong command of regulatory frameworks, and a proven track record in leadership roles across government, the private sector, and academia. Most recently, he served as a Fellow at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy and is the former Executive Vice President and General Counsel of NRG Energy, Inc. David previously served as General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Energy under President George W. Bush.
