Emily Lafon is the new Director of Medicaid Financial Policy at the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association (VHHA). VHHA is an alliance of 110 hospitals and 25 health delivery systems that develops and advocates for sound health care policy in the Commonwealth. The Director of Medicaid Financial Policy provides leadership and oversight of the Virginia Hospital Mutual Assistance Program (MAP) and works closely with VHHA senior leadership, the MAP Governance Committee, and the state Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS). Most recently, Emily served as Executive Budget Manager for the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.
